Music Box Films has picked up U.S. rights to Therapy for a Vampire, a horror comedy from
Austrian director David Ruehm.
The feature, which won the audience award for best foreign feature at this year's Montreal
Fantasia international film festival, features Austrian star Tobias Moretti as a centuries-old
bloodsucker dissatisfied with his equally-old marriage. As he is living in 1930s Vienna during
the birth of psychoanalysis, he seeks out Sigmund Freud (played by Karl Fischer) to help
him with his angst.
